With the booming Georgia film community, Columbus State University's new, state-run Film Academy at The Springer Opera House, and our thriving artistic community, now is the time of our town to host a dynamic film festival in honor of these developments. WDFF offers an audience the opportunity to experience stories that otherwise would not be accessible, provide talented filmmakers a platform to show their creative efforts, and deliver network opportunities to launch projects and obtain jobs

Susan Taylor

Susan was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles. Her parents were professional acting teachers. After studying with her parents, Susan attended film school at New York University. She has appeared in major Hollywood releases like A River Runs Through It, To Die For, Lord of Illusions and the Michael Mann crime masterpiece Heat. In recent years, Susan has branched out into writing and directing. She served as writer and actor in her most recent film, El Ganzo, that was released in late-2015. If you should grow tired of discussing film (though we know that’s not possible), Susan knows a thing or two about music. Her father-in-law is Bob Dylan.
