With the booming Georgia film community, Columbus State University's new, state-run Film Academy at The Springer Opera House, and our thriving artistic community, now is the time of our town to host a dynamic film festival in honor of these developments. Way Down Film Festival is the destined child produced from the marriage between CSU and The Springer and launched in 2016 as the first high-profile film festival in Columbus, GA.
We are asking for you to join us: join the underground. Uplift and unite the creative pulse of our artistic community. With over 6 million dollars put towards the economic progress of our state last year through the film and television industry, the momentum is powerful for our community, way down here, to showcase its support.
